The Alexandrina Café:

The espresso machine “is always hot !” Krystyna shouts, and visitors are able to seat themselves at the windows close to the rural vista to share an ‘Alexandrinashire Tea’. Often one of the neighbours will drop past for a takeaway coffee or milkshake, and even the local tradesmen are becoming regulars with a ‘double chocolate malt milkshake - to go’.

Cheeses platters are available to have while seated at the café or to takeaway in an ‘Alexandrina Picnic Pack’. Three platters to choose from include the ‘Pickers Plate’, the ‘Tempting Tray for Two’ or the ‘Fleurieu Feast’; they are all equal favourites. Many visitors simply request a ‘Glass of Jersey milk’ which is offered as bottomless – perhaps with a 2 L limit!

The café is so popular on weekends, visitors often resort to the new handmade red wood picnic tables and benches to get a great view and sunshine amongst the native garden. To see the Jersey cows walk in for the afternoon milking is something our visitors tend to stay a while longer for that second cup of coffee!

General Facilities:

include secure vehicle, caravan and bus parking, sealed and sloped pathways, directional signage, good quality amenities; including male and female restrooms and disabled toilet access.

Toilets:

Opportunity to use the ultra clean toilet facilities, and being able to amuse our guests with our ‘soft’ humour.

The toilets have a ‘quirky’ appeal, and include meeting our “Employee of the Month” (a profile of a Jersey cow), who is presented on the rear of the toilet door. This often gets a ‘good laugh’, and a responsive comment at the counter.

The toilets also have a feature of a popular nursery rhyme “Little Miss Muffet”, including a very friendly little metal sculptured spider!
